At Siemens Healthineers, our Biograph Trinion PET/CT scanner software—featuring real-time image reconstruction and automated workflows—was in development. Past projects lacked inter-team coordination, so improving dependency management during SAFe PI Planning and iterations became a key focus to enhance collaboration and delivery.
- I facilitated Pre-PI sessions with 95% attendance across 5 teams, higher than the previous 60%. This significantly socialized Epics and Capabilities.
- During PI Planning, the teams mapped Epics with a 50% reduction in rework due to improved early alignment. Features were planned directly in Azure Boards, trimming documentation by 25%.
