Situation:

Needed to upgrade from 5.8 to 6.1 Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Coca-Cola Branded Consumer and Enterprise sites for security and functionality improvements.

AEM Environments

Action:

Multiple engineers, platform managers, development teams, architect, systems admin, and project managers were involved in the upgrade. Scheduled the upgrade one environment at a time. Support tickets were opened in JIRA Project Management Tool for specific engineering tasks needed to prep, execute, and verify the upgrade was completed successfully. Execution plans included rollback contingencies. Stage and Prod deployments were scheduled outside the normal two week cadence timelines and tracked in JIRA.
